Their state motto is Virginia is for Lovers, so what better place to plan a wedding. This state slogan has been used since 1969 and originally was going to be varied to say Virginia is for History Lovers, Virginia is for Beach Lovers and Virginia is for Mountain Lovers but the slogan was simply shortened to Virginia is for Lovers. Although it’s these longer versions that gives you a better understanding of why Virginia is so beloved. A state full of historical significance, pristine beaches kissed by the azure Atlantic Ocean and majestic mountain ranges, making it the perfect destination for lovers of all sorts.

Planning a wedding in Virginia gives you a number of options and ways to cater the event specifically to your tastes. The vineyards that dot the countryside are steeped in romance and provide elegant and stately backdrops for wedding photos.
