Wedding date : July 4, 2010

Rachel and Patrick were married at Rock Hill Plantation House a beautiful location with gorgeous views in every direction. They wanted a casual, elegant theme for their July 4th wedding and the plantation house was the perfect spot. The ceremony was followed by a really fun reception. Even the kids had a good time with the nearby animals that served as a mini petting zoo. Their close friend, Sean Peoples, served as the MC and DJ for the evening making sure everyone had a good time on the dance floor.

Sunset Hills Vineyard, Purcellville, VA – Molly & Ethan

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Ceremony and Reception Location  : Sunset Hills Vineyard

Wedding date : May 1, 2010

Photographs by Thomas Wakefield

Molly and Ethan were married at Sunset Hills Vineyard on May 1st.  They hoped for a nice cool spring wedding, but mother nature decided to warm things up a bit.  But their guests didn’t seem to mind as they watched Molly and Ethan get married outside at the Vineyard.  After the ceremony we spent some time doing photos around the vineyard.  Then it was inside the gorgeous barn for the reception.  Their cake was amazing, with Ethan climbing the cake, and Molly working the ropes.  The first dances were great, Ethan and Molly took a turn on the dance floor.  And later Molly and her dad, and Ethan and his mom shared a dance.  Then the real party started with everyone taking over the dance floor and partying the night away.

Engagement session Old Town Alexandria, VA – Aubrey & Evan

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Location : Old Town Alexandria

Session date : October 25, 2009

Photographs by Thomas

So Aubrey, Evan, and I have all learned to check a DC event’s calendar before making any plans in DC.  We had scheduled the engagement session to take place at Hains Point, but we all forgot to check the calendar, and the Marine Corps Marathon happened to be going right though were we wanted to be doing photos.  So we made a quick change over to Old Town Alexandria, and had a lot of fun. We found some of the first really nice fall colors of the season.  Aubrey and Even were up for anything, and i can’t wait to photograph their wedding in the spring.

“We are really happy with the enagement portraits and had fun working with Thomas.”   Aubrey (bride)
