Katherine and Michael were married on May 15th at the Aspen Wye River Conference Center in Queenstown. Situated on over 1000 acres along the Wye River, this is not your typical conference center. Beautiful scenery in every direction lends itself to a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was right along the river. Right after the ceremony I took Katherine and Michael for a few minutes of casual portraits. This gave me a chance to capture some great portraits of the newlyweds and also provided some alone time for them. Katherine’s brother, DJ PVO, was great about keeping everyone on the dance floor.

Cloisters Castle Wedding Photography, Lutherville, MD – Jennifer and Matt

The ceremony was filled with personal touches. A friend officiated the wedding. Another played guitar during the ceremony. Another served as emcee of the reception. And yet another designed all the bouquets and boutonnieres, even growing succulents in her garden after seeing a magazine cut-out of arrangements with them that the bride liked. Their officiant also asked each of the couple’s parents to bless and support their union, prompting Matt to jokingly beg for Jen’s parents’ approval when it was their turn to stand. The couple also wrote their own vows. It was a lovely ceremony and a rockin’ party.
