When Danielle and I were going over the final details for her wedding day, she mentioned that the ceremony was the absolute most important part of the day to her and Sean. It wasn’t difficult to see why. They were married on a Saturday evening at the absolutely gorgeous Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle in Washington in a full Catholic wedding Mass. The church’s rector, the Rev. Msgr. W. Ronald Jameson, is a close friend of the bride’s family. As lighthearted as the couple’s individual preparations were — the groomsmen laughing over a too-small vest and the bridesmaids teasing Danielle about all the buttons on her dress — the ceremony could not have been more reverent or lovely. It was followed by a lively reception at the Renaissance Hotel, where the bride’s step-father showed off some sweet moves on the dance floor. Since the ceremony started after dark, we had to get a little creative with locations for some nice portraits of the newlyweds. Fortunately, the hotel lobby included some fun spots that cleared out as we approached midnight. Congratulations, Danielle and Sean! It was a pleasure working with you.
