Kristina & Patrick planned their wedding from afar. Very afar. While they live in Costa Rica, they were married in the mountainy woods outside of Gettysburg, Pa. Because Kristina is an event coordinator for a resort in the Caribbean, she brought a real eye to her wedding. There were so many fun elements for me to photograph, from the hand-painted wooden signs that directed guests and lanterns lining the path to the woods to an antique car that held cold lemonade at the ceremony site and the Converse sneakers that the groom, his attendants and even the officiant wore. Despite forecasted thunderstorms, we were graced with gorgeous light streaming through the woods for their nuptials and a gorgeous golden field nearby for some fun portraits after the ceremony. Congratulations, Kristina and Patrick. It was a joy to work with you both!

Hauser Estate Winery Wedding Photography – Deepika and Sam

Ceremony and reception location : Hauser Estate Winery, Biglerville, PA

Wedding date : September 18, 2010

Deepika (Dee, as she’s often called by her friends and family) and Sam were married on an absolutely beautiful September day at the Hauser Estate Winery just outside of Gettysburg, PA.  The winery sits atop a hill overlooking the vineyards and the rolling mountains surrounding the Gettysburg.  It was a wonderfully sunny day and with the onset of Fall, the leaves on the trees were just starting to turn colors.  Between the vibrant Sari’s that Dee and her bride’s maids wore, the flowers and the natural surroundings, each scene was more brilliant than the one before.  One of the more unique things about their reception was the wine tasting during the cocktail hour.  Guests were given the opportunity to sample the various offerings produced and bottled right there on the grounds of the winery.  The air got a little chilly once the Sun went down, but that didn’t deter the guests from enjoying the authentic Indian cuisine and dance party that ensued.  It was such a pleasure to have been part of Dee’s and Sam’s beautiful day in Gettysburg.
