Strong Mansion Wedding Photography – Jen and RobFriday, September 24th, 2010Ceremony and reception location : Strong Mansion, Dickerson, MD Wedding date : July 17,2010 Photographs by Jennifer Jen and Rob were married on a hot, humid day at the Strong Mansion, an historic venue on Sugarloaf Mountain set amidst lovely formal gardens with sweeping views of the valley below. They decided to see each other before the ceremony for their portrait session and to take care of many of their formal family photos. I could barely get Rob to tear his eyes away from Jen during their portraits and I was thrilled to capture one of the sweetest unscripted moments between them — as Jen and Rob locked eyes while walking through the woods, he reached for his soon-to-be-wife’s hand and kissed it. Their wedding was so much fun to photograph, from Rob’s struggle with his bowtie and Jen’s hot-pink Kate Spade heels to her mother’s emotional walk down the aisle and the darling paper umbrellas that their guests enjoyed all day long. Congratulations, Jen and Rob!
Frederick Wedding Photography at Danielle’s Restaurant – Lisa and AndyTuesday, September 14th, 2010Ceremony and reception location : Danielle’s Restaurant, Frederick, MD Wedding date : July 31, 2010 Photographs by Roman and Rodney Andy and Lisa were married right in historic downtown Frederick at Danielle’s restaurant. Their beautiful garden wedding was full of celebration and joy. At the end of the ceremony they jumped the broom, an African tradition signifying their entrance into a new life together. The cocktail hour provided an opportunity to do some fun portraits around Frederick. We even stopped at Bushwaller’s, their favorite local bar in Frederick. Then the celebration continued at the reception.
Maryland Wedding Photography at Ceresville Mansion – Julie and JonThursday, August 26th, 2010Ceremony and reception Location : Ceresville Mansion, Frederick, MD Wedding date : July 10, 2010 Photographs by Jennifer Julie and Jon (or Epstein, as the bride refers to him by his last name) met at my alma mater — the University of Maryland. He helped her fix her computer. She lost a bet with him that resulted in a dinner date. Many dates and IT sessions later, they were married on a not-too-humid Saturday evening at the Ceresville Mansion in Frederick. The rain that threatened the forecast all week came early, allowing their outdoor nuptials to go off as scheduled. Their day was filled with the kinds of personal touches that make me love my job: Julie honored the memory of her late mother with a purse fashioned out of fabric from her mother’s wedding dress and with a heart-shaped pendant holding her mother’s photograph pinned within the layers of her own wedding gown. Guests couldn’t help but laugh when she modified her wedding vows, ignoring the traditional wording offered by the cantor and saying instead, “I, Julie, take you, Epstein ….” And the best man had the crowd roaring with his toast, including when he asked anyone in the room who had ever called the groom for IT support to raise their hands. Dozens of hands around the room went up, including, obviously, the bride’s. Congratulations, Julie and Jon! It was a pleasure to be with you on your wedding day.

Maryland Wedding Photography at The Lodge at Little Seneca CreekMonday, August 2nd, 2010Ceremony and Reception Location : The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek Wedding date : June 20, 2010 Photographs by Thomas Scott and Brittany were married at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek on June 20th, which happened to be Father’s Day. Brittany did all the flowers herself, each table had a different centerpiece which was really fun. Brittany and Scott also knew the best way to get a bunch of Father’s to attend a wedding on Father’s day was to offer beer at the ceremony, and BBQ for dinner. The ceremony was performed by a family friend, and included a part that brought Brittany’s daughter in, letting her know that she would always be a part of Scott and Brittany’s family. Which I thought was a fitting way for Scott to spend his father’s day. While we were out shooting some fun shots of the newlyweds we all got a reminder that parenting never ends even at a wedding, when in the background of the dip shot i spotted Brittany’s and Scott’s daughter with a couple other kids from the wedding running across the field to go checkout the woods. But i think having the kids in the background will give them a great reminder of the joys of their new family. Later at the reception the couple opted for Georgetown Cupcakes instead of a cake, and they were a big hit with all the guests, especially the kids. I wish all three of them many years of happiness as a new family!
Glenview Mansion Wedding Photography, Rockville, MD – Emily and WilliamFriday, July 16th, 2010Ceremony and reception location : Glenview Mansion, Rockville, MD Wedding date : June 5, 2010 Photographs by Napoleon Emily…or Emi, as her friends call her…and William were married at the stately Glenview Mansion in Rockville on June 5th. First off, it was wonderful to see how absolutely involved Charlie, Emi’s dad, was with the planning and execution of the entire day. You could totally see in his eyes from the start how important this day was to him. Those that know William and Emi well know that they are both very interested in cartoons and fantasy stories of all sorts and in a lot of ways, their wedding day turned into a fairy tale of their very own. The mansion was beautiful, the weather could not have turned out to be more perfect, and the ceremony in the gardens was every bit the dream that Emi had of her special day. There were plenty of laughter and tears during the ceremony, but once the reception started, it was nothing short of dance fever! The dance floor was never empty from the start of the party til the very end. Congratulations Emi and William and thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your fair tale day!
Ceresville Mansion Wedding Photography – Frederick, MD – Tiffany and LuisWednesday, June 9th, 2010Ceremony and Reception Location : Ceresville Mansion Wedding date : May 28, 2010 Photographs by Napoleon Tiffany and Luis were married on the Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend at Ceresville Mansion. The threat of late afternoon thunder storms did not damper the mood of the couple and as it turned out, the rain never came and they were able to have the outdoor ceremony they wished for. I guess what’s meant to be will be! This wedding was full of smiles and laughter from start to finish. It was evident that loved ones and friends were very important to both of them and it was an honor to be a part of it all. It was a true family affair as even the officiant was one of Tiffany’s aunts. Aside from a few tears sprinkled in between lots of laughter…yes, even while Tiffany walked down the aisle she burst out into laughter…the entire day was truly a celebration. After the “I dos” we took a few minutes taking photos of family and the bridal party, and then it was off to the reception where they all burned up the dance floor all night. Thanks Tiffany and Luis for allowing me to capture your wonderful day!

Location : Stone Manor Middletown, MD
Wedding date : November 14, 2009
Photographs by Roman
Laurie and Paul were pretty lucky to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony in mid November. The sky was overcast but the rain held off so they were able to take advantage of Stone Manor’s picturesque setting. Following the ceremony I had a chance to steal them away for a few minutes for some fun and natural portraits. They shared their first dance to “At Last” by Etta James. The flowers were done by En Masse Flowers of Frederick, MD.
