Amy and Bob had a beautiful waterfront ceremony at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for a wedding. Amy and Bob were glowing with happiness from the time I arrived to when they had their grand exit with sparklers. We even had a moment to duck out of the reception for a few sunset photos along the bay. I had the privilege of working with DJ Chris Hart who played all the right music to get people dancing and having a good time.

Michele and Keith wanted a destination wedding. But they didn’t want to inconvenience their closest friends and family members by forcing them to endure long flights and complicated travel arrangements to attend their wedding. So the couple, who live in Wilmington, Del., looked to Maryland‘s Eastern Shore. There, they found the beautiful Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, where they planned a destination-style celebration for an intimate gathering of 38. Their wedding day could not have been more beautiful. From their exchange of vows beside the Miles River and a bobbing sailboat that looked as if it had been anchored there to serve as a perfect backdrop to the gorgeous light that graced our portrait shoot after the ceremony, everything was flawless. The groom even surprised his wife with an unexpected first dance — cued up on an iPod by his brother — in front of the Inn’s enormous fireplace in the dining room. It was a lovely evening. Congratulations, Michele and Keith!

Christy and Shawn exchanged their vows on the western shores of the Chesapeake Bay at The Kent Manor Inn, in Stevensville, Maryland. We created two formal shoot sessions, one with the bridal party on the docks, and then later with just Christy and Shawn out in a soybean field at twilight. It’s always great to cover a wedding where the ceremony and reception are on the same grounds. These two seemed to have been together for years, and their wedding day was more of a renewing of their vows. Great guests, and a few of the groomsman were creative by turning their sports coats inside-out, which gave them a Cirque-du-Soliel theatrical quality to their dance performances in the reception venue.

Surrounded by her family and friends Bridget got ready at her family’s summer home on Tilghman’s Island. The couple decided to see each other before the ceremony which gave them time to spend alone, & me time to capture some natural portraits. After a quick ceremony on the dock they were off to dance the night away.
