Inspired by a weddings blog that features vintage-style nuptials, Nikki and Jeff planned a gorgeous spring wedding full of fun, personal touches. They had hoped for an afternoon ceremony in the gorgeous formal gardens of the Antrim 1844, but a bout of unseasonably cold rain dashed those plans. Never mind. They didn’t let the gloomy weather dim their joy or their celebration one bit. Nikki pulled together a fabulous ensemble that included a modern-style gown cut from vintage lace, vintage barrettes and towering gold heels. Jeff and and his dapper groomsmen entered the ceremony to the theme music from Mad Men. Together, they collected a variety of vases, candlesticks, lanterns and small decorations that served as centerpieces. And in lieu of wedding cake, they served a variety of pies — which Jeff thoroughly enjoyed! We ventured out into the rain for some fun outdoor portraits with the trusty golf umbrella I keep in my trunk for those very occasions. Add in a beautiful first dance, a series of emotional toasts and a custom-made burlap banner and they had all the ingredients for a perfect wedding. Congratulations, Nikki and Jeff! It was a pleasure working with you and your families!
